The Fall Luncheon was such a wonderful finale event for our
golf season this year. Thank you to Kim Rampmeyer and
Leslie Fleming for chairing “We Tip Our Hats to You”, a
tribute to our AWGA volunteers that were recognized with
gratitude for all the time, effort and energy they give freely
to make our organization and it’s events such a success.
The ladies dressed in their special hats were just another
sign of how creative our group really is!!!!
Thank you also to Sheryll Nelson for sharing the beautiful
display of vintage hats and hat boxes.
I was so pleased to present “The Volunteer of the Year
Award” to Belle Johnson, a lady that’s truly been a backbone
and inspiration for our group for so many years and another
“Volunteer of the Year Award” to Nicole Harris, a lady who
continually was seemingly everywhere making herself helpful
and showed kindness to our golfers.
It was also a thrill to be able to present Carol Jacobsen the
“Sportsman of the Year Award”, a most amazing lady who
truly fosters the spirit of the sport of golf.
In spite of the weather, it was another great golf season. It
was such an honor to serve as your president and it is with
great pleasure I “pass the hat” to Nicole Harris, your 2009
President, Sue Gatewood, President-Elect, Leslie Fleming,
Secretary and Jamie Berge, Treasurer.
Nicole will be busy at work putting together her new board,
so don’t be shy….give her a call if you would like to help!!
Remember, it takes a whole lot of people to make everything
run smoothly for our events!! Why not give her a call
